Life's Simple Pleasures
It sounds like it's been a crazy couple of weeks for everyone (me included). I've been kinda depressed for a multitude of reasons (job, stupid men, failing diet) so I thought I would try to write out my simple pleasures to remind me of the little joys that can be found (or cultivated).
1) Having my morning cuppa coffee ready for me when I get out of the shower.
2) Morning yoga
3) Eating a good meal
4) Laughing
5) Working with my kiddies
6) Spurts of creativity
7) A good movie
8) Celebrity crushes ;-)
9) The smell of lavendar on my pillow
10) Connecting with friends and family
11) Shopping (bad for the bank account)
What are some of your simple pleasures?

i like this post 'cause it made me stop and appreciate the little things i look forward to each day. topping the list:
1. waking up to find my 2 kitties sleeping close to me in the morning (they go to bed somewhere else at night)
2. walking through the most gorgeous, fragrant, people-lite part of golden gate park to work
3. MORNING COFFEE. mmmmmmmm.

Beautiful post! It actually got me thinking of some new simple pleasures I could add (I had a chocolate covered banana this morning for a snack). Thanks for the inspiration!
tamasha:
Wow, how could I forget the alky! Yep, nothing is more heavenly than a glass (bottle) of wine ;-).

Glad you liked the post. :-)
simple pleasure 1: aww, you're kitties are just precious!
simple pleasure 2: what an awesome communte! I walk along 7th Avenue to the Forest Hill Station in the morning and it's a nice walk, too (except for all the random honking).
simple pleasure 3: What can I say about morning coffee except heavenly.
Also, thanks for the invite!

Wait, BS, lavendar is supposed to be a downer fyi. Maybe that's why you're feeling low? Try to switch up the fragrance and see how that makes you feel! Just a suggestion.

bengali chic:
I hear ya about working out and gorging with the girlies. I just wish I had some one for the other activity-maybe that's why I'm moody? ;-)
zen:
Ahh yes, new posts and comments are the best! Which 80's band are you gonna see? (just bought my Voxtrot tics so I'm excited) And I LOVE it when meetings are canceled (that's why I'm smiling this morning) :-).

Love your simple pleasures. It was really foggy today so I stayed in bed reading, writing, and watching Christian Bale movies (nope, not done with the list yet.)
********
BTW, some good Chrisian Bale movies (just indulge me for a sec)
-American Psycho
-Batman Begins
-Velvet Goldmine
-Empire of the Sun
-Harsh Times (performance wise)
-Newsies
-All The Little Animals (again, for his performance)
-The Machinist
-Metroland
-Little Women
Yes, I admit it, I'm a little bit obsessed ;-).
